Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Senior Geoscientist Panoro Energy’s London, UK office. This role will be responsible for conducting geophysics, sedimentology, seismic interpretation, and structural geology analyses. They will also utilize petrophysical techniques and tools to evaluate and interpret data. The Geoscientist will work closely with other members of our exploration and production team to support decision-making and project development.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8-10 years experience in oil and gas exploration and production
  • Geophysics and Seismic Interpretation skills
  • Sedimentology and Structural Geology expertise
  • Use and knowledge of 4D seismic techniques
  • Knowledge of petrophysics
  • Proficiency in software and tools (Kingdom)
  • Experience of new venture evaluations
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team
  • Experience of west African exploration essential
  • Occasional international travel required
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geosciences or related field

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Junior or Graduate Geoscientist at Panoro Energy’s London, UK office. This role will be responsible for conducting geophysics, sedimentology, seismic interpretation, and structural geology analyses. The Geoscientist will work closely with other members of our exploration and production team to support decision-making and project development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology, Geophysics, or a related discipline.
  • Strong academic background in geological principles, sedimentology, stratigraphy, structural geology, and reservoir characterization.
  • Proficiency in geoscience software applications such as Petrel, Kingdom
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex geological and geophysical data sets.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Demonstrated passion for the oil and gas industry and a desire to contribute to the exploration and production of energy resources.
